Post-Chapter Six
Caitlin's father tells her that, "The whole town is upset by what happened. They want to help. They want to help you deal with life, Caitlin...without Devon." (p.5) How do you know as a reader that Caitlin isn't dealing with the loss of her brother? What are some of the behaviors she exhibits that illustrate how she's doing? Be sure to use specific examples from the text to support your thinking.

I think shes not dealing with life without devon because she keeps making reffrances that Devon said like "Devon always says to not get in someone personal space
ReplyDeletei beileve that she is having a hard time without Devon because, she is always repeating some advice to someone that Devon said like,(on page 25) "Devon said that recess it's supposed to be my favorite subject"

ReplyDeleteThat did not happen in this chapter, Frank. You need to answer the questions that I ask, not just write about anything.
Deletesorry Mr. Budgar!
Deletewell I know that she is not taking it very well because, many times in the book she lists many things about Devon, such as, " i don't want him around in a different way. i want him around the same way. the way he was before. when he makes me popcorn and hot chocolate. and he tells me what to say and what clothes to wear and how not to be weird so kids won't laugh at me. and he plays basketball with me." (page 15 and 16) so you can see that she says A LOT about her brother and she badly misses him but she thinks she does not. there are many many many many more times she talks about her brother.
